How a project runs from first enquiry to handover — what we produce at each stage, what we need from you, and what you receive at the end.
Project workflow
Seven stages. The first three exist to make sure the remaining four are worth starting.
- Enquiry and duty definitionFlows, raw water analysis, effluent consent, site constraints and the operating pattern. We will usually come back with questions before we come back with a proposal.
- Technology screeningComparison of the three platforms against the duty, with the reasons for rejecting two of them. Indicative footprint, chemical demand and sludge production for the recommended option.
- Treatability testingJar testing on your water; pilot trial where warranted. Establishes coagulant and polymer selection, dose, pH window, achievable rate and sludge characteristics — the inputs the design depends on.
- Process and detailed designReactor sizing, mixing energy, plate area, ballast inventory, recirculation rates, hydraulic profile, dosing design, materials selection, general arrangement and P&ID.
- Manufacture and factory testingFabrication, mechanical assembly, control panel build and software. Packaged units are wet-tested before despatch; loose equipment is functionally checked and inspected against the release schedule.
- Installation and commissioningInstallation supervision or full installation depending on the agreed scope, followed by cold commissioning, first fill, chemical commissioning and process stabilisation.
- Performance demonstration and handoverPerformance run against the agreed design basis, operator training, documentation pack and the spares schedule. Process support continues after handover.

Reference projects
Project references are provided on request, with the client’s permission and subject to any confidentiality in place.
Requesting references
Where a reference is relevant to your duty we will provide the plant type, design flow, treatment objective, achieved performance and, where the client agrees, a contact for verification. Tell us the application you are evaluating and we will send what is comparable rather than a general list.

Design review
Process and mechanical design are reviewed against the agreed basis before release for manufacture, and any deviation from the offer is raised with the client rather than absorbed.
Inspection and test
An inspection and test plan is issued with the design, identifying hold and witness points. Clients and their consultants are welcome at any of them.
Performance basis
Guarantees are stated against a defined feed envelope and a defined chemical dose. Both appear in the contract, so there is no argument later about what was being guaranteed.
